Sundance is not a film festival known for its many controversies. But when one of its films is unparalleled, leaked online, it finds itself a topic of the internet. Not only is this any scene, but it is a key gay scene starring Dylan O'Brien.
While it is disappointing for any scene that can leak online before it is officially released, the truth is that this scene is without obstacles. That's because this is the scenario that is most likely to be out of context. Context is everything! In fact, the sex scenes in the twins are one of the craziest and best views of the year.
Twinless is about Rome (O'Brien) and Dennis (James Sweeney), who are also writing and directing the film), the two men meet in the bereavement support group of the twins. Both of them lost their respective twins, and they became desperately lonely and became swift friends. Dennis is gay, but Roman is straight, even though his late twin, Loki (also O'Brien) is also gay. In the first 20 minutes of the movie, we watch Dennis and the Romans become inseparable.
(Warning: spoilers ahead.)
Just as the audience is used to the Rome viewpoint, Twinless has made an amazing change to Dennis's viewpoint since he met Rome. We see Dennis (James Sweeney) dating Roman’s twin Rocky – shocked, because Dennis never mentioned that he knew Rocky about Roman.

The two had a quick and easy chemistry, and soon after, they returned to Rocky's position and abandoned each other.
They were very talkative during makeup, saying that since they were both 5'10, they could share clothes – “We're like twins,” Dennis said. When Dennis went to kiss Loki's belly, Loki revealed that he had a twin, which made him excited, which wasn't surprising because all of us learned about his dennis to the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin the twin.
Except Dennis didn't say he had a twin, you want him to tell Loki right away. Dennis kept talking about his love for twins as they kissed and undressed each other. Discomfort begins to settle down: Is Dennis lying?
It's a shocking revelation, Sweeney's film drops smack dab in the middle of a sex scene. The real scene is super hot. There is a push and pull between Rocky, they really just want to have sex, Dennis wants to talk all night, especially about the twins.

Dennis' fast, steaming shots, all kinds of sexual behaviors are raised in various issues related to twins. In one configuration, Dennis asks Loki if he and his brother have ever switched places. Next, he asked them what the maximum sentence they were unanimously talking about was.
Dennis was so happy that Rocky's answer brought him to orgasm. The conversation is stupid, physical sex is hot, but everything is going to be devastating undercurrents.
If Dennis doesn’t have twins, that means his entire friendship with Roman is a fraud we’ve seen Brom at the beginning of the movie. Rome revealed and trusted Dennis, who betrayed him. Even worse, Dennis knew Rocky and had sex with him – the Romans were completely unaware of it.

After sex, under the cover, when Dennis and Rocky have a heart-to-heart, it’s obvious that what we suspect is real in the sex scene: he doesn’t have twins. It's a big twist that makes the whole movie fall on the head, but Sweeney's direction in this covered post-happiness is so sweet and tender that you're surprised by Dennis.
It's obvious that he's just a very lonely personal desire to connect with himself. It is hard to feel particularly judged when basking in the sun in a passionate compassion.
In recent years, Sundance has pioneered a digital platform that allows recognized industry members and critics as well as online ticket holders to watch certain holiday movies at home, rather than in person in Park City.
Someone recorded sex scenes and other content from the movie, from digital screenings, posted them on social media, and soon it spread to countless websites and forums. Its spread has led to a passionate discussion of the value of home viewing in the ever-changing industry landscape and the need to protect creators and their content.

Sundance eventually infringed on the digital platform for copyright infringement, removing the twins from the digital platform, making it the second film at the 2025 Film Festival after the documentary Selena Los Los Dinos.
Those who watched the leaked scene without seeing the twins ruined themselves in one of the most surprising and creative films of the year.
But even if you've seen scenes outside of the scene, I encourage you to see twins. Watching it in the movie completely transforms the magnificent experience of heat, sweating and romance while deeply uncomfortable and painful. Sweeney achieved this an incredible balance, which made the scene completely memorable.
