“We are excited to expand our coverage of UH football in more cities in the western region,” said UHMānoa Track and Field Director Matt Elliott. “We recruit in many areas, with strong alumni and supporters in the region. We are very grateful to the Scripps team for their partnership that makes this opportunity a reality.”
“We are excited to bring the University of Hawaii's Rainbow Warriors football to a larger audience in Mainland State,” said Brian Lawlor, president of Scripps Sports. “With many of the players in our market for radio, we're happy to make it easier for their families and hometown fans to watch their actions.”
The Rainbow Warriors, a member of the Mountain West Conference, are currently 2-1 this season.
The mountain conference was added to this season’s mountain conference, following a five-year renewal of Big Sky Conference announced by Scripps Sports earlier this year.
