Like most Millennials and Gen Zers, Sennott said she grew up watching Meester gossip Girland thought she would make the perfect boss on the show. “OMGand I've been obsessed with Leighton ever since. gossip Girl. “I'm a huge fan of hers, and then I got on Zoom with her because I really thought she could bring something amazing to the role,” Sennott continued. “She's so sweet and cool and has a passion for improv and playing, she's a dream to work with. She's awesome.”

In an interview with Bustle, Meester praised Sennott for creating “a really funny world to live in” and honing her comedic talents. During more than a year of filming, the actors were given many opportunities to “play, explore and develop.”
“There's a lot of freedom, a lot of trust and agreed-upon [sentiment of] It was like, 'Everyone is on this journey, we're all part of this crew,'” she recalled. “It felt comfortable and it got more and more comfortable throughout, and it was a really good environment to not only find your character but also find the funny moments in every scene. “
