Two girls in Cranford, New Jersey were hit and killed while riding an electronic ride on Monday night.
Police sources said the black SUV that hit them did not stop and flee the scene. The driver has since been detained.

The crash occurred before 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 40 block of Burnside Avenue. This is a quiet residential street with a speed limit of only 25 mph.
The first batch of police officers arrived at the scene after two minutes on 911.
The two teenage victims were taken to a local hospital but later died from injuries. At this point, their names have not been published yet.
The crash driver was detained
Investigators can be seen collecting and processing evidence in the evening.
They were eventually able to find the driver of the SUV and detain the person. So far, no charges have been announced.
Cranford is located in Union County, New Jersey, about 10 miles southwest of Newark. The United County Prosecutor's Office is leading the investigation.
