The Penguins' No. 1 pick in 2003 and three-time Stanley Cup champion goalkeeper Marc-Andre Fleury is heading home.
Kyle Dubas, president and general manager of Penguin Hockey business, announced Friday that Fleury has signed a professional trial contract and will join the team at noon Friday, September 26, and will be part of the Penguin Preseason game held at 7pm the next night at PPG Paints Arena.

“The entire Penguin organization is honored to welcome Marc-Andre Fleury back to the ice in Pittsburgh,” Dubas said. Over the past year, everyone has witnessed Mark's love and respect in hockey, but worship exceeds his honor and career. Mark is his role model and role model for our team, our fans and the City of Pittsburgh.
Fleury played for 22 seasons in the National Hockey League and spent 13 seasons with the Penguins from 2003 to mid-2017. At that time, he won three Stanley Cups: 2009, 2016 and 2017. He also holds every record of goalkeepers in the Penguin organization. His 691 games, 375 wins and 44 games are the first in the team's history.
After 13 seasons with the Penguins, Fleury continues to play for the Las Vegas Golden Knights, the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota field.
