Baltimore – The Baltimore Orioles put receiver Adley Rutschman on the 10-day injury list with a nervous right slope.
The move was conducted Thursday, and until Monday, less than a month after Rutschman returned to Illinois State University five weeks after being out of the left tilt pressure.
Now, in its fourth season since being drafted first in the 2019 draft, Rutzman made .227 with 9 home runs and 29 hits in 85 games.
Interim manager Tony Mansolino said rookie Samuel Basallo will enter the starting lineup. Basallo, 21, made her debut on Sunday after being promoted from Triple-A Norfolk.
Basallo drove in the 11th inning of the Boston game on Tuesday, one of the only players in Orioles history to play at least one of his first three games.
