League Cup will return to the MLS season pass on Apple TV on July 29

CONCACAF approved competition will feature new formats

Fans can watch every game of the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV from July 29 to August 31

The League Cup is the first playoff club championship for all men's professional sports in North America, and starting today (July 29), the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV is the only place where fans from more than 100 countries and regions can watch each game.

The League Cup enters its third year and will be played in two rounds: the first stage, which will begin on July 29 and the knockout round will end with the League Cup final on August 31. In 2025, the match will launch a new format for MLS vs. Liga MX MX showdown in 2025.

There will be a total of 62 games in the League Cup 2025, and there is no connection. The MLS and LIGA MX regular seasons will last until August, with most League Cup knockouts being played in the middle of the week.

The one-month tournament ended the top three teams, received an automatic bid for the 2026 CONCACAF Championship Cup and had the opportunity to represent the federal team at the FIFA Club World Cup.

“I’m very excited to be in the League Cup with San Diego Football Club,” the San Diego Football Club striker hired “Chucky” Lozano. “It will be a great match between MLS and Liga MX and a great opportunity to showcase the composition of San Diego.”

“I made my debut with Rayados de Monterrey during the League Cup, so the game has special meaning to me,” said CF Monterrey midfielder Sergio Canales. “In both leagues, the arrival of more famous players has only improved its level. It will continue to be welcomed and grown in the years to come.”

The Columbus crew brought back the 2024 League Cup trophy, dramatically defeating Los Angeles Football Club, breaking a 1-1 deadlock and scoring two goals in downtime to win the championship. Lionel Messi made his debut at the Miami CF during the 2023 League Cup and scored 10 goals in just 7 games, earning the League Cup Golden Boot and MVP honors after he helped the club win the first championship.
