Over the weekend, Icelandic Jazz Popularity Laufey brought her iconic charm and Whimsy to the Crypto.com arena.

The 26-year-old Grammy Award winner's Time Tour ceased in Los Angeles from September 26 to 27. Her worship fans were quick to scream and shout out their worship throughout the show, packing two nights at the Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) arena. The show is broken down into a five-act structure (four actions and one encore), each with a different suite.

Time questionthe album that the tour is promoting is about the musician’s self-discovery of falling in love, whose name is Laufey (pronounced “Lay-vay”) Lín Bing Jónsdóttir told thr Before release. She describes it as a “overthinking love guide” and points out that she wasn’t even aware of herself throughout the process. “I never thought it would bring me so much emotion,” she added. “Even if it was a love song, that is, 'Who am I?'”

The song that answers this question best on the new album is “Sabotage,” which she describes as a confusing and ethereal meeting. It acts as the last song of the show, ignoring the successive songs.

She continued: “The very beautiful melodic piano piece, is part of the 'Sabotage' – that's how I show up outside. I always dress up.” But inside, there could be an absolute chaos. Those destructive noises, those harassment, that’s the way I show anxiety. ”

Here are some highlights of Laufey’s sold-out LA date.

structure

The singer is known for her own jazz and pop fusion and is able to allow every aspect of musical identity throughout the show. Laufey explained that the show’s second act was born from the idea of bringing concert participants to the Jazz Club (still in the big arena). The unique program setting makes the experience feel a unique entertainment activity.

Special guests

The musician's arrangement is a special song, a spinning track that turns the city into a city. With this special track alone, for fans, Laufey will take it to the next level by inviting different musicians to perform with her.

In the evening, she raised Hozier, who won a huge reaction from the crowd, performing her song “Magnolia”. The two sound incredible, with the duo as the highlight of the night.

In her second Los Angeles show, Lauphy invites the rising girl Katseye to join her stage. She sang the song “Gabriela” by the six-member girl group with young women.

“goddess”

When the singer enters the fourth act of the show, she warns the crowd that this is where things are a bit dramatic. She took the piano and filmed several songs, including her 2023 single “Goddess”. The song is against dramatic lighting and is an outstanding moment in the performance. It felt like all the drama of the night led to the song’s explosive climax, and the camera tracked the singer as she brought it.
