The fast-rise four-star senior guard junior county told ESPN that he has committed to UConn.

The county is one of the top five shooting guards in the 2026 class, and he chose the Huskimo, which includes Arizona, Indiana, Maryland and Purdue.

The county went to UConn last weekend after every other finalist, after he visited UConn when the Huskimo made the final pitch and secured his commitment.

“This is what I felt when I was practicing, and I talked to it [coach Dan] Hurley and campus told ESPN Thursday. I believe that while there, I will be able to develop into the best version. ”

Hurley's trademark coaching style attracted the county.

“We have a great relationship and I love that intensity,” he said. “I think that's why he gets the best of his players every day.”

A 6-foot-4 combination guard who once played for Wasatch Academy (Utah), is the SC's next 100 overall 43rd player and fourth-ranked shooting guard. The county’s standout is his scoring versatility and his consistent strength.

Last spring and summer, the county averaged 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Utah prospect on the Nike Eybl track, including a one-to-one 20-point outing and two games, and he beat four three-pointers.

“I think I’m going to be able to win at both ends of the floor,” he said. “They see that I can play those winning games on the ball and on the ball.”

The county is Hurley’s top commitment in the 2026 class, after finishing the top five in the 2025 class, with the group having two top 25 recruits in Braylon Mullins and Eric Reibe. It was the third consecutive top ten in the Huskimo, who finished Class 8 in 2024 and 3 in 2023 – winning back-to-back national championships in the middle.
