Arkansas was 1-2, with a strong opening game, beating Southeast Missouri in a big game by quarterback Jaylen Raynor, who threw 345 yards and three touchdowns in that win. The offense has been good since then, although they have been working hard to end the tougher game. Their defense is hit or missed, especially against passes, when the opponent builds the run.
Kennesaw State is also 1-2, still on the basis of its first full season after the rise. Their offense lags, averaged about 15 points per game, and their defense gave up a lot of yards, especially on the ground. Their pass game was modest, and Amari Odom showed some hope, but not enough to offset other struggles. The Owls need cleaner execution and fewer defenses to shoot.
