Falcons take action before week 2 game

Atlanta – The Atlanta Falcons made a series of trades Saturday before they were ahead of their Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Falcons placed safety Jordan Fuller on the injured reserve team, signed wide receiver David Sills v and signed kicker Parker Romo from a 5-3-man roster, from practice to an active roster.

Fuller did not participate in practice for the whole week due to a knee injury. He was officially excluded from Week 2 when the team's game report was released. In his season opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday, he played just one defense and 16 special teams.

Fuller is an offseason signing with five years of experience in his resume. Prior to joining the Falcons, he started 55 career appearances in 57 careers, mainly at the Los Angeles Rams (2020-23) (2020-23) (2020-23) (2024) (2024). His highlights include seven interceptions, three interceptions in 2020 and 2023, respectively.

Meanwhile, the windowsill initially produced the Falcons' 53-man lineup after training camp, but was released in Week 1 and signed with the practice team. However, he was promoted last Sunday and robbed twice on the offense. He did not record any statistics.

As for Romo, he will sign with Younghoe Koo in head coach Raheem Morris made it clear that the veterans missed Atlanta’s season opening loss for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Koo did not travel to Minnesota with the team, also announced Saturday.

Romo played four games for the Vikings last season, playing 11 of his 12 shots. His only turnover was the Vikings' 43 yards in Week 13's 23-22 win against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Falcons-Vikings game is scheduled to start Sunday at 8:20 pm ET in Bank of America Stadium. NBC will conduct on-site insurance.

Reminder: Each team can promote two players from practice teams to active rosters on the day of each game. Players are allowed three altitudes per season. The fourth altitude will require players to sign a 53-man lineup.
