Control Sales over 5 million

Remedy Entertainment reported significant growth in its second quarter financial results for 2025, with revenue up 63.5% year-on-year to €16.9 million. EBITDA reached 4.2 million euros, a significant increase from the loss of 2.4 million euros in the same period last year. The company attributes the surge to strong sales of Alan Wake 2 and Control, as well as the launch of its first self-published multiplayer title, FBC: Firebreakn.

Control now has more than 5 million lifetime sales, and in early 2025, remedial measures regained full publication, distribution and marketing rights. This shift has allowed the studio to directly manage its sales strategy, bringing positive momentum to the title. Alan Wake 2 also maintained steady sales this quarter, with other titles in the Alan Wake franchise meeting expectations.

FBC: Firebreak is a three-player co-star shooter in the Control Universe, launched globally on June 17. And the game saw more than one million players in the first 10 days, mainly in the Xbox series X|S and PlayStation 5, with PC releases underrelease on Steam. Remedies cite early onboarding and task structure issues and are factors that lead to high drop rates and negative initial comments. However, subsequent updates improved reception and major content updates were planned in late September.

Going forward, remedial measures confirm that Control 2 is still moving towards its next development milestone, with the team focusing on gaming, environment and mission design. The Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes developed in collaboration with Rockstar Games are also developing steadily and are still in full production.

CEO Tero Virtala stressed that the company's long-term strategy involves self-publishing all titles of all remedies and expands established franchises connected through the remedy connected universe, Control and Alan Wake. By 2027, the goal of the remedy is to double its revenue in 2024 and maintain an EBITDA margin of at least 30% for continued growth until 2030.

With strong sales data, multiple high-profile projects under development and an increasing emphasis on self-publishing, remedial measures are positioning ongoing creative and commercial success in the coming years.
