Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers Preview, Wednesday 8/20, 7:05 CT

  • by admin

Note on Wednesday:

  • More information about double-headed scanning: Since July 7, 2015, the Cubs' double shots are the first place they beat the Cardinals 7-4 and 5-3 twice at Wrigley Stadium. The card has been around for a day, with a record of 54-28, six games ahead of the second-place Pirates and 9.5 games ahead of the third-place cub. (Contributed by Johnw53, BCB)

  • Happy birthday, Cad Holden: The right-handed bear is 24 years old today.

  • This day in the history of Bear: Kris Bryant and Ben Zobrist home runs and the Cubs beat the Rockies 9-2. They lead NL Central with 13 games. It happened nine years ago today, Saturday, August 20, 2016.

  • Defeat the winemaker: If the Cubs win today, they will win the championship against Milwaukee. They have never won the season series since 2022, when they won 19 seasons from the winemakers.

Bears lineup:

Beer lineup:

Colin Rea, RHP and Jacob Misowowski, RHP

This will be Colin Rea's second start against his former team. Last time, in Milwaukee on July 29, he allowed nine hits and four runs in four innings.

Rea has been pretty good since then. He had 2.30 ERA and 1.021 WHIP in three games in August, starting to cover 15.2 innings, having 15 strikeouts and not allowed home runs.

I said, this is really great.

Jacob Misoweowski left the Cubs in Milwaukee on July 28 with a knee injury. He was placed on the injured list and activated against the Reds last Friday. They hit him hard: five hits, three walks and four runs in 1.1. He threw 54 goals to record four knockout matches.

So…it’s great to go on.
