Chelsea reached a deal with Alejandro Garnacho and spoke with Manchester United, over £40 million ($54 million) of Argentine striker, sources told ESPN.
Garnacho was told he could leave United this summer, had not played Ruben Amorim's team since the end of last season and had omitted from the pre-season tour to the United States to train with unnecessary teammates Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Antony.

Rashford completed a season-long Barcelona loan last month, but Manchester United couldn't uninstall any other vagabonds, and Garnacho made it clear that he just wanted to leave Old Trafford for Chelsea, refusing to move to Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Stamford Bridge Club expressed interest in signing Garnacho during the January transfer window, but a deal failed.

Chelsea have been keen on signing the 21-year-old earlier this summer, but sources say Enzo Maresca's team is only ready to pay £30 million ($40 million) for Garnacho, while United values players at £50 million ($67 million).
Chelsea's interest has stopped recently as they try to advance the knockout stage to help comply with European League sanctions that forced the club to balance books by unloading many players from the teams that won the league title last season, most notably Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.
Now talks have been held between U.S. United and Chelsea on a deal worth between £35 and £40 million, although sources say no agreement has been reached, negotiations are underway and can be completed by the BST transfer deadline at 7pm next Monday.
