Cambridge shooting prompts safety precautions on Harvard campus

I'm Antonio. We interrupt the show now to bring you some breaking news. Harvard University just issued an emergency alert saying a man shot another person. This all happened not far from Harvard University's campus. It was an alert the school had just put out, saying Cambridge police reported that an unidentified man on a bicycle had just shot another person on Sherman Street. The suspect rode his bicycle to Huayuan Street. Please avoid the area and shelter immediately. Police are also looking for the cyclist. Right now, schools are asking people to shelter in place, students to shelter in place, and they're saying please don't go into the quad area. Again, this was a report of a shooting. At this time, it has not been confirmed that anyone was actually shot. Now, if you're familiar with the area, Sherman Street is not far from Harvard University as well as the ALEWIFE MBTA station. Cambridge Police have been contacted for further information. They told us they couldn't confirm anything else beyond that. So again, this news is coming from Harvard that someone shot another person on Sherman Street in the Garden Block, and Harvard is asking students to shelter in place immediately and avoid the quad area. We have a crew en route to that scene and we will continue to provide you with more details. for no
