TulsaOklahoma – CSUN men's football won the first victory of the new season with a 1-0 victory over the oral Roberts in the Case Football Complex Sunday night. Zack Harris has 12 minutes left to reach his first win of the season.
First half
CSUN controlled much of the early part of the game. Despite only one shot attempt, the Bullfighter had a good footwork when looking for any openings to defend his teeth. When necessary, the Golden Eagles do a good job when necessary to prevent CSUN threats from before any attacks enter the box.
A tough game between the two sides, as there were 15 fouls in the first 45 minutes of the game. Csun committed nine of the fouls in hopes of any advantage in the defensive game. The only shot shot at Oru's Leonardo Almeida Seixas was at the feet of Oru, but he was saved by Dorian Drucks' nicely.
The Bullfighters had some chances to move forward, trying to play three corners in the half, but none of them resulted in a goal-scoring shot.
Second half
From the gate, there were multiple balls in the box as CSUN threatened to score at halftime, leaving the situation unscored regardless of the Golden Eagles' close performance.
The two yellow cards from both teams in less than a few minutes meant that the dial had been invaded. Hagan Cupido won his first yellow card in his college career in the Scrums.
In the 54th minute, Arturo Reveles attempted to shoot from the top of the box as the Bullfighter flourished. After disappearing, CSUN tried the fifth corner kick. Csun cannot get space to put a place into the net.
In the 62nd minute, a free ball shot from Seixas, but was saved by Drucks on the bottom left side of the net.
In the 64th minute, CSUN scored its first shot. Transparency is passed to Enrique Pineda's feet and the goalkeeper rescues him in the dive station. Less than two minutes later, Pineda tried another goal and was blocked by Oru's Jakub Grzesiak again. The senior forward's back-to-back attempt stopped the Nets' rear.
Oru's Rhys Shirley tried to shoot from the deflection of the corner kick, but was blocked by the CSUN defense, with more than 21 minutes left. Jeff Mesidor was then blocked. Enzo Gindro missed the third shot in just two minutes, but scored no points. Both teams have a chance, but cannot be capitalized.
There are 12 and a half minutes left in the game. Zack Harris attempts to shoot long shots outside the box saved by the goalkeeper. This is the third shot of the Bullfighter.
With nine minutes left, CSUN appears to be wearing a tie for the second time in a row. Harris, on the other hand, has other plans. A junior from Agoura Hills took the ball to a free kick from the left and right side of the box, making the Bullfighter's New Year goal the first goal of the New Year.
The rest of the game was filled with fireworks. Only 22 seconds left to play. The Golden Eagles seem to have tied the game to the header after they surpassed the Drucks' cross. Initially ruled offside, the referees gathered and then dominated a target. However, not long after, the referee reviewed the matter at the second juncture. This time, they kept their original appeal and ruled that the game was getting farther and farther away. Csun persisted for the last 20 seconds and won the victory.

According to head coach Terry Davila
“Tonight, we were much better tactical and showed real progress in the whole team form. On the offensive end, we moved well as a team of a group and our chemistry continued to grow. We still need to improve the ball in the last third, but the progress was obvious, but the back-to-back blockade was a huge achievement for the team and won the outstanding team, a great team, including a game, a hard work.
