This new hair color (with chunky dishes) is just part of Anderson's ever-evolving approach to beauty. It all started in 2023, when the actors attended Paris Fashion Week without makeup, an unexpectedly controversial move. “I know I’m not moving towards world peace, but I’m making a statement,” she told me as she sat in the front row like Row, Vivienne Westwood and Victoria Beckham. “I just thought, I'm doing this for all the girls out there. I've had stepdaughters in past relationships and my son had girlfriends, and that's for them. In this era, do we even know what the face looks like?
Anderson has continued to live a mostly makeup-free life in the years since then – she announced Fashion She is rebuilding her vegan skin brand Sonsie skin and now apparently abandons bleach as well.
According to people near Anderson, her new look was inspired by Swedish movie stars Lindblom and Bibi Andersson. These are what she mentioned to Parisian hairstylist John Nollet, who gave her a transformation. It's all for her next role: playing with Steve Coogan in Michael Cera's directorial debut.
