Natalee Linez joins FBI's CIA derivative
Natalee Linez joins the cast of CBS's upcoming FBI spin-off company CIA as a series of regular visitors. She will portray CIA analyst Gina Rojas, an indispensable member of the team. Linez had previously appeared in Season 12 of Chicago PD, when Valeria Soto and starred in Season 2 with Tom Ellis, where Ellis played Oliver and Linez played Lydia Montgomery.
Ellis plays a CIA case officer who violates the rules and is paired with a book FBI agent. They were assigned to the CIA's New York station, while reconciling the opposite approach, addressing cases and threats in U.S. soil.
According to Deadline, the CIA was originally scheduled to premiere in fall 2025, but has moved to mid-2026 after leadership changes. Warren Leight, formerly a performer of Law and Order: SVU and the FBI: Most Wanted, Replaced David Hudgins as the actor. Dick Wolf, Nicole Perlman, David Chasteen, Paul Cabbad and Peter Jankowski worked with Leight as executive producers. Eriq La Salle also serves as executive producer and will direct the pilot. Universal TV and CBS Studios are working on the HE series in conjunction with Wolf Entertainment.
Linez's additional credits include appearing in Power Book III: Rising Kanan, 9-1-1 and CSI: Vegas. Her cast adds another Chicago alum to the ensemble, strengthening connections to Dick Wolf’s television universe.
Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss will lead the cast, Michael Michele will play the station head, and Linez will play Gina Rojas, completing the main team of the CIA series. CBS will debut in 2026 as part of the mid-season roster.
