Firefighters are working to control the Gifford fire burning in part of the Los Padres National Forest.
According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire, the fire destroyed 82,000 acres and several smaller fires occurred along the coast of Highway 166.
According to the latest data, it threatens over 800 structures, with only 7% of them. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
