“UICC member Acreol Global is working to improve the quality of life and care for people on the continent who have experienced cancer with or have experienced cancer.
Its initiatives focus on supporting patients and families of life-threatening diseases, including cancer, and are based on the perspective of African socioculturalism.
Recently, Acreol trained health workers in palliative care at Shyira Hospital in Nyabihu District, Rwanda.
Now those same health workers are coaching their colleagues – ensuring that people with cancer and their families are cared for in dignity and compassion. ”
