Why is Mary Hart a Dodgers fan?
According to MLB.com:
Hart's Dodgers fandom began about 40 years ago. In 1979, she moved to Los Angeles to play Batgirl at the Hollywood Star Game, an annual exhibition game that remained a fixture at Dodger Stadium for many years. She met Dodgers legend and former manager Tommy Lasorda, who said to her, “Young lady, what is your dream?”
Hart told Lasorda she loved singing and she wanted to sing the national anthem on the field at Dodgers games.
“Thirty days later, I did it,” she said. “Because of my friend Tommy Lasorda. We've been connected for a long time.”
