George Kittle active, Brock Purdy out vs. Falcons; #ATLvsSF previous injury report

It’s prime time in the bay. The San Francisco 49ers have concluded another week of preparation and released their final injury report ahead of Sunday's home game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee) are officially out for Week 7. With Purdy missing his third straight game, Mac Jones will make his fifth start at center.

Jones was limited Wednesday with knee and oblique injuries, but he has returned fully to participate in the final two practices of the week and is injury-free heading into Sunday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that Jones has improved throughout practice and is “a lot further ahead this week than he was last week.”

The 49ers will also return tight end George Kittle to the offense. Kittle was injury-free heading into Sunday after missing time with a hamstring injury. Shanahan also said he wouldn't do a quick tally on Kittle's return.

“George is recovering very well,” Shanahan said. “He's 100 percent, had a good week in practice and we'll space it out throughout the game, but no pitch count.”

Looking at the defense, defensive lineman Yetur Gross-Matos (knee/hamstring) has been ruled out. Defensive tackle Kevin Givens (pectoral), cornerback Renardo Green (neck) and cornerback Upton Stout (shoulder) are all listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Stout is a new name on the injured list, and Shanahan said during Thursday's final practice that the corner kick hurt his ankle.
