Steve Parkin believes his former club Stoke City will have “high hopes” of a return to the Premier League as Wrexham prepare to face the Potters at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday (15:00 BST).
Mark Robins' side have made an impressive start to the season, finishing fifth in the Championship table at the start of the season.
Wrexham assistant manager Parkin said: “I've been away from there for a long time but they have been a club that has been involved in high-end football in the Premier League and Championship for the last 10 or 15 years.”
“Owners invest incredible amounts of money into football clubs to try and get them there (into the top flight).
“I know their training facilities are second to none, so I’m sure they’ll be hopeful of a return to the Premier League.”
