  • by admin

Today's temperatures are above average for the eighth time in a row. In fact, Chicago has only had two cooler-than-normal days since September 10th.

What to expect:

Highs today will climb into the 70s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Clouds will increase tonight, with a chance of showers before dawn.

Tomorrow will not be a baptism. Showers will develop in the morning, followed by many dry periods before another round of showers and thunderstorms later in the afternoon and overnight. Highs will remain unseasonably warm into the low to mid 70s.

The heaviest rainfall in the area is likely to occur late tomorrow night into Sunday morning. The forecast trend is for our southeastern counties to see the heaviest rainfall, with much lighter amounts in the far north.

Sunday will be a cooler day with highs struggling to get out of the mid-50s. Winds will also be quite strong, but most, if not all, of the rain should be over by the time the Bears game begins. Monday will be sunny and mild, with highs in the mid-60s.

Brief showers are possible Monday night into Tuesday morning, but many areas will be dry. Next week's highs will generally be closer to season normal, which is around 60°.
