Everton lost more momentum in the Premier League, and now back in just two days after Merseyside Derby beat Liverpool over the weekend when he visited Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the Calaba Cup.
The Blues had already beaten the Wolves when they came out of Molineux with a 3-2 victory this season. Tomorrow we can expect manager David Moyes to make some changes to ensure the team's energy levels remain the same. The toffee will not work again until Monday night, so we can expect to see some familiar faces starting with the wolf.
Premier League yellow cards won't be brought into the Calaba Cup and vice versa, although a player who won two yellow cards in different cup matches will be suspended for a game. Fortunately, in the second round, there was no booking for the Blues in the Mansfield Town clash.
Wolves kept the league's lowest point with five losses in five games, so will embattled manager Vitor Pereira get a positive result in the Cup or will he save his best team on a trip to Tottenham on Saturday night?
Jarrad Branthwaite and Vitaliy Mykolenko are unlikely to play as they did not play for the Saturday lunchtime kickoff. Although Merlin Röhl's injury is not serious, it is unlikely that we will see him on the team tomorrow.
Everton squad available with Wolves
goalkeeper: Pickford, Travers, King
Defenders: Keane, Branthwaite (Out), Tarkowski, O'Brien, Mykolenko (Out), Coleman, Patterson, Aznou
Midfielder: Gueye, Garner, Iroegbunam, Dewsbury-Hall, Röhl (Suspected)
Winter: McNeil, Ndiaye, Grealish, Dibling, Alcaraz
Everton may stick to the 4-2-3-1 used so far.
Beginners (possibility to start rating 10)
Mark Travers – 7/10 Will Moyes give a backup match between the sticks?
Adam Aznou – 6/10 If he did, it would be a very evident Moyes’ belief in young people no Start tomorrow.
Seamus Coleman -6/10 Moyes either starts with the Irish and brings Patterson and vice versa.
Idrissa Gueye – 7/10 Don't like to keep playing Gana, but this can happen as Röhl develops.
Tim Eroghanam-6/10 The midfielder is good in both Wolves and against Villa and should play again.
Jack Grealish – 9/10 Regaining Grealish in the Target Contribution column is very important.
Tyler Dibling – 9/10 The star hasn't seen much game move yet, and it will be a great opportunity for him to show what he has.
Barry – 9/10 The Toffees are desperately in need of their striker’s shot, and it’s Barry’s turn to show that he can do it.
Vitaliy mykolenko-Ukrainian International came through the derby unscathed, but was still recovering.
