Donkey kong bananza: DK Island and Emerald Rush DLC launch today

  • by admin

Today, additional content from Nintendo Direct Direct Broadcast is coming soon on Donkey Kong Bananza.

DK Island looks to be a new level, with some nostalgic nods to Donkey Kong's past, and a huge stone-hole face that you can climb up or walk through.

The area has emeralds instead of the familiar gold of the main game, which is associated with another major member of the DLC: the brand new emerald sprint mode. This challenge option can see you explore DK Island and return to other existing areas to accumulate emeralds as quickly as possible, and if you fail, your match will end as early as possible if you fail.

Developed by members of the Super Mario Odyssey team, Donkey Kong Bananza launched a universal delight for fans and critics for the Nintendo Switch 2 in July.

IGN's Donkey Kong Bananza review awarded the game a rare perfect score and called it “a truly groundbreaking 3D platformer with satisfying action, powerful abilities, an impressive destructive environment, and clever challenges that all blend together in a completely harmonious way to create Nintendo's first Switch 2 Masterpece.”
