Hollywood, Los Angeles – She has won an Academy Award, a Droop Award, an Emmy Award, a Tony nomination and is now a star on Hollywood Celebrity Journey.
Actress Jessica Chastain received her star Thursday, surrounded by her fans, family, friends and two colleagues who have had a significant impact on her career: Academy Award winners Al Pacino and Viola Davis. All three actors have become a kind spirit of love for their craftsmanship.
“You understand the task of becoming an artist, Jessica,” Davis told Chastain during a ceremony on Thursday. “I love how you do your thing.”
Chastain won the Academy Award, SAG Award and Critics Choice Award for “Tammy Faye's Eyes.”
She also received Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG nominations for Showtime's “George & Tammy” and received Tony's nominations and drama awards for “A Doll's House on Broadway.”
She also received Oscar nominations for “Help” and “Zero Dark Thirty”.
“Standing in front of this star, I feel the weight and great gift of what we are going to do in Hollywood, so this is my star, it's not the end, it's a mark of a mile,” Chastain said. “It says, 'Keep on.' For my friends, my teachers, my collaborators, you guys turn a shy, awkward drama kid into a woman who believes the story can save my life, I'm humble and I'm glad to see what we'll do next.”
Chastain is now working on the Apple TV+ series “The Safant”, which will make her a star and producer.
