The best chance of rain this week is Thursday to Saturday, with 20% to 30% storms in the valley.

A large part of the weather story later this week will be reduced temperatures. Predicted highs are in the 100 seconds lower on Thursday, with potential for the 90s last Friday to Saturday!

For the northern mountains, after several isolated storms today and Tuesday, the monsoon will become more active from Wednesday to Saturday, with more extensive reporting of showers and thunderstorms.

For southwestern Arizona, some heavy rain could take place on Monday overnight on Wednesday as a possible crowd of thunderstorms (called “Sonoran MCV”) take place in the area.
