The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office identified the man who was killed in Bourne last week on Wednesday.
The sheriff's office said the victim was fingerprinted as Russia's Vadim Kruglov. Washoe's medical examiner's office has identified his identity and his family has been notified of his death.
His body was found “lying on the ground” in a pool of blood after 9 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff's office said.
The suspect has not been identified and officials asked for help from the public to find “anyone who would commit such an outrageous crime against another person”.
As the investigation is underway, details about the way the death is being detained, officials said.
When asked to conduct the latest news about the case Tuesday morning, the sheriff's office said no.
“Our hearts pay tribute to Wadim’s family and friends and we are saddened by the loss of community members,” the Bourne man said in a statement Wednesday.
The festival said it would do everything possible to assist the sheriff’s investigation so that the perpetrators could be captured and brought to justice, including “coordinated donations to the Secret Witness Program, which provides more information to help law enforcement investigations.”
At least one person has died of the burning in recent years. Last year, Kendra Frazer, 39, died of “emergency service personnel responded to a report from a non-responsive person. Once on the scene, lifesaving measures were immediately tried, but they were unsuccessful,” the festival said in 2024.
Death is one of some of the outstanding events of this year’s festival, held in the desert of Blackstone, Nevada.
A baby gave birth to a woman who didn't know she was pregnant, and the infamous “carnival tent” was claimed by the dust storm that overthrew the camp.
