Nebraska No. 1 and Kentucky No. 7 were tested earlier in the weekend before tomorrow’s clash in the Broadway neighborhood party. Both teams faced Lipscomb at Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, with both teams winning a decisive 3-0 victory with the Bisons.
Nebraska No. 1, Lipscomb 0
The highest-ranked Cornhuskers faced Lipscomb on Friday, winning with a steady 25-13, 25-21 and 25-15 wins. Taylor Landfair and Harper Murray led the Husker attack, killing seven people respectively. Her .778 clip expands Randford's influence through digging and two monster blocks. Nebraska now has two top 10 wins in three unbeaten games in the 2025 season as they look forward to Kentucky’s seventh place.
No. 7 Kentucky 3, Lipscomb 0
The Wildcats saw their first move in Saturday's 2025 regular season. Outside Brooklyn Deleye, the .429 beat 18 kills, hitting eight digs and two A's, resulting in Kentucky winning 25-12, 25-20 and 25-23 in their Lipscomb sweep. Her transfer rival Eva Hudson also won 10 kills and 8 digs, confirming how dangerous the two are. Kentucky will have the first real test against Nebraska this season.
