The 34-year-old Poyer, who played for the Bills from 2017 to 2023, will now score his second shot in Buffalo in his final NFL season. He became the all-around team for the first team with the Bills in 2021 and was their defensive captain and leader.
After initially being selected for the NFL in the seventh round of the Hawks in 2013, Poyer was abandoned in his rookie season and claimed on a waiver in Cleveland that he accompanied the Browns in 2016 with the Browns.
Last year, Poyer started 16 games for the Dolphins and despite all the offseason missing, Bill hopes he will contribute immediately. Poyer knows defense, knows his coach, and knows his teammates, and he should be able to adapt.
