Ajla Tomljanović’s best result at the U.S. Open was the quarterfinals of 2022, but her game has stood out in the last few years. She entered the world's No. 1,211 this week, putting her in a tough position against No. 3 seed Goff. She has had success in both the second round of the U.S. Open over the past two years, and it is worth noting that the U.S. Open is her best professional grand slam with a 55% win percentage.
The U.S. Open is the position of Gauff's first Grand Slam title, winning here in 2023. Having said that, she has not had much success in other years, winning the quarterfinals in just another match in 2022. When she goes to court Tuesday and beyond, she will look for her own 2023 form.
