Richards, 24, was the fifth-round pick for the North Carolina Cowboys in the 2023 NFL Draft.
He signed a four-year, $4,084,976 rookie contract with the Cowboys, which includes a $244,976 signing bonus, guaranteed $244,976 and an average annual salary of $1,021,244.
Richards made eight appearances in their 2023 rookie season.
In 2024, Richards competed in 13 Cowboys and started one.
