Why is Aruba appointed the safest Caribbean island?
Aruba ranks the highest because of its low crime rate and a focus on travel safety.
The surrounding Caribbean islands, such as the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Haiti, have a high level of crime, civil unrest and limited health care in these areas, allowing US travel consultation.
However, in the zero to 10-10 range, the safest and least secure is that Aruba is ranked high in all.
According to Caribbean Island Security Risk 2025 data, Happiness Island has 10 out of 10 travel consultation safety, 9 out of 10 crimes, 10 out of 10 hurricane risks, and 8 out of 10 health care.
The country has not been hit by hurricanes recently. Additionally, it has a strong healthcare system with Dutch standards and Level 1-U.S. State Department’s “Normal Preventive Measures” consultation.
However, Aruba is not only ranked high due to overall security. It also has national parks and nature reserves, which will make visitors come back more.
