Gamescom-NVIDIA announced today that NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture is about to arrive in GeForce Now™, marking the largest update of the cloud gaming platform to date.

This upgrade brings NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX™ 5080-level performance, AI enhancements and cloud storage, setting new standards for cloud gaming. With thousands of gaming avenues, NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture will offer cutting-edge graphics and the fastest frame rate in the cloud without increasing membership prices.

“Turning NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture is one of the world’s most important computer graphics innovations, and GeForce now represents the largest cloud gaming leap ever,” said Jansen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “With Blackwell, GeForce now offers more amazing graphics, fastest frame rates and negligible latency, turning any device into a high-quality gaming rig for nearly every other product on the market today.”

Members will get advanced features such as NVIDIA DLSS 4 multi-frame generation, pushing to 5K resolution (FPS) at 120 frames per second (FPS) – only the most advanced gaming PCs before.

This upgrade uses NVIDIA reflection technology and click pixel response time as low as 30ms, adding 360 fps support at 1080p. Leveraging the global network of NVIDIA Superpoints, most gamers in the regions GeForce now support will see a network latency below 30 milliseconds.

In addition, the new movie quality streaming (CQS) model uses many technological advancements to significantly improve image quality.

In addition, NVIDIA's broadband connectivity and mobile partner network continues to grow, with new collaborations with Comcast, Deutsche Telekom AG and others. Comcast is improving cloud gaming with Docsis Telecommunications Standard, while Deutsche Telekom AG is now integrating GeForce into its 5G+ network, while the BT group plans to integrate GeForce into a program to trial L4S and 5G slicing to deliver consistent, high-quality 5G performance, both at home and at home.

Game multiplier
Publishers brought the biggest blockbusters and well-received indie hits to Geforce, expanding its pre-installed, ready-made games to over 2,300 games.

Similarly, with GeForce now upgrades, games installed into games are also possible by using cutting-edge cloud storage servers with high-performance NVIDIA NVMESH technology.

Members will get double access to the game directory and will enable more than 2,200 additional Steam titles by publishers, which will now be cloud streaming on GeForce and will do more. This means that GeForce Now's library will be expanded to over 4,500 upcoming playback and install game titles.

Games installed into the game are downloaded directly to cloud storage, reflecting the experience of putting them on your local PC. GeForce now Ultimate and Performance members will receive 100GB of single-class cloud storage for installation of games at no additional cost to their membership.

Members can also expand their cloud storage with ongoing storage add-ons: 200GB, $2.99 per month, $4.99 per month, and $4.99 per month for $7.99 per month.

The game saved in persistent storage will be ready to start at any time without downloading and reinstalling for each session.

More frames on more devices
The Geforce RTX 5080-powered server was launched earlier this year and is delivering performance improvements from 60 fps for local Geforce Now applications on the steam deck.

LG monitors and TVs are the first to benefit from the GeForce Now RTX 5080 server upgrade. The supported LG OLED monitors can also be streamed in ultra-high 5K (5120×2880) when connected to a Windows or MacOS device – no additional hardware required. LG TVS is also in the world's first 4K playback at 120Hz, with HDR playing through native apps supported on LG TVS.

Support for popular peripherals is also growing and offers a lot of support for many Logitech racing wheels, providing the lowest latency, the most responsive driving experience.

NVIDIA, DISCORD, and EPIC are working together to change the way people discover and play games together – making it easier than ever to keep gamers in touch.

Powered by Nvidia Geforce's current game streaming technology and distributed via Discord, the new integration experience allows players to try new games immediately if they don't match – no downloads, installations, or launchers – without missing out on gameplay.

This new comprehensive experience will allow gamers to try Fortnite Directly in Discord, if they don't have a game installed, they can do a limited-time trial through GeForce Now Experience even without a GeForce Now membership.

Players just need to create or connect their epic account and then enter immediately Fortnite.

This integration makes it easier for Discord’s hundreds of millions of users to discover streaming gaming experiences, e.g. Fortnite Meetings that help game developers expand the influence of conversations about games.

Pricing, availability and promotions
Now, the GeForce upgrade by NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture will be launched in September.

GeForce now has Ultimate for $19.99 per month and a six-month price of $99.99, including using an RTX 5080 server. Performance membership remains $9.99 per month, and six-month membership is $49.99. Daily, monthly and annual memberships will begin with release. The annual membership is $199.99 and $99.99, respectively.
