The Metropolitan Police Department used its phone while driving and pulled Fox News host Bret Baier up.

Fox News host Bret Baier was pulled this weekend in the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C.

Baier, 55, is the political news host of President Donald Trump's favorite network, who may have inadvertently caught up in a recent law enforcement crackdown attack by his administration. Earlier this month, Trump announced that he would deploy the National Guard in the U.S. capital to address crimes he considers rampant.

Baier saw in a video posted on social media that he handed his license to a policeman, who confirmed the incident on X and revealed that he was towed while driving.

In a more conventional traffic stop, the incident was handled by the Metropolitan Police rather than the National Guard, although the police department was also placed under federal control through Trump’s takeover.

“I picked up the ringtone as I drove past an officer while driving in Georgetown,” he wrote in the post. “He pointed out that it allowed me to go beyond.

When commenting, Bayer's representative pointed out his social media posts. The United States has contacted the Metropolitan Police Department for more information today.

In a series of replies to other users’ posts, Bayer said he raised the idea of establishing a Bluetooth pairing device after the incident, so he would not need to move his hand away from the steering wheel in the future. Baier refers to some commenters who are characterized by frowning, saying he has no glasses, so he is squinting at reading the registration card.

Baier, one of Fox’s star hosts, interviewed then-candidate Kamala Harris during the leadership of the 2024 presidential election and sat down with Trump for a closer look during the Super Bowl.
