Carl Anthony Town, New York Knicks
Karl-Anthony Towns will enter his second season with the New York Knicks. He is expected to play a major role in Mike Brown's offensive and defensive system.
The town enjoyed a strong debut in New York for a year. In 72 games, he averaged 24.4 points, 12.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, shooting 52.6% from the field while Deep shot 42%. But, due to his conditioning and struggle on the defensive end, he came in to criticize.
For these reasons, former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins believes that towns will be under tremendous pressure in the upcoming season. Perkins' comments are derived from the latest episode of today's ESPN NBA.
Perkins said: “When you talk about players, which players are under the biggest delivery pressure, that's Carl Anthony Town, like his time. It's his criticism. When it comes to Luka Doncic and what he does on defense and is in shape.
Perkins continued.
“Kate is a walking barrel. He is a. arguably the best shot we've ever seen. He's really skilled, but that's not something he needs to correct. He needs to correct himself, can get down on the floor and be able to slide through those puppies because he cooks in the big role.”
Towns have proven themselves to be an elite offensive weapon. However, his defensive struggle undoubtedly led to a significant discussion of his ability to survive in a single lineup.
Town is better next to the rim protector
Mitchell Robinson’s Injury Co., Ltd. Tom Thibodeau attempts the ability to experiment with a dual lineup of town and Robinson. But there are some short moments where we have to see what the Knicks will be like when they operate as a power forward in town.

Despite the very small sample size, it is clear that there is a potential upside to the town against more defensive big men, such as Robinson. This will allow the New York star offensive big man to focus on his performance, while providing some solid help to defend due to his size and length.
Brown may have some other thoughts on it, but we wouldn't be surprised if he doubled the spins in the weeks and months of the new season.
Knicks add senior offensive coach
According to Sny's Ian Begley, the Knicks continue to join TJ Saint's coaching staff.

The addition of the Saints could help the town take his offensive influence to another level, especially after a year of partnership with Jalen Brunson. So between the bonus of the Saints and the possible pairing of the town with a framework to protect the big man, the town may have to go through a season of high influence. If so, the Knicks' chances of reaching the NBA finals will be significantly improved.
