Cincinnati – Milwaukee Brewers rookie pitcher Jacob Misoweowski was activated for the injury list because of a left tibial contusion for about 2.5 weeks.

The move has the potential to get the All-Star right-hand to pitch in the opening game of the NL Central-leading Winemakers Series in Cincinnati as they try to win their 13th victory, which will match the longest streak in franchise history. The brewer won the first 13 games in 1987.

Misiorowski beat the Chicago Cubs 8-4 on July 28. Misiorowski's knee seemed to surrender in the first inning that night, when he reached out a dribble and threw it wildly at first base, although he remained in the game and lasted for four innings.

He has a 4-1 record and a 2.70 ERA in seven games. Misorowski hit 47 batsmen in 33 innings.

In other moves Friday, the brewers chose right-hand pitcher Grant Anderson to Triple-A Nashville, put outfielder Blake Perkins on the bereavement list, put outfielder Isaac Collins on the parent-child list, and recalled internal soldier Tyler Black and exterior Tyler Black and exterior Berroa.

Anderson, 28, scored 2-3 with a 3.07 ERA in 53 relief appearances in Milwaukee.
