Delta provides a seamless travel experience through government-led government partners and cutting-edge technologies – both on the ground and in the air. Whether leaving, connecting or arriving, customers have benefited from a simpler, faster journey.

“No one connects the world better than Delta, and we want to build your connection – the entire travel experience – smoother, smarter, and more effective every step of the journey,” said Managing Director, Airport Experience – Airport Experience. “These initiatives expand and expand this summer are a big step toward achieving that commitment.”

International travel? Save time Faster connection speeds on certain flights

Delta and Korean Air customers who flew from In-in (ICN) to Atlanta (ATL) and from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Atlanta (ATL) to ATLANTA (ATL), to Delta flights connected to Delta flights can now head directly to their connection gates without having to retrieve and recheck the bags on US Customs. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and collaboration with the Korean and British governments and US customs and border protection, customers save up to 25 minutes and enjoy a smoother journey.

In addition to the benefits of checking duffel bags, customers connected to flight-specific ATLs from LHR can bypass redundant TSA screening and continue to their connection gates, saving 45 minutes thanks to partnerships with TSA and the UK government. This product will launch all LHR to ATL flights in the next few weeks. To be eligible, Delta customers must register for the Global Portal or use the Mobile Passport Control App. Since February, all eastbound customers from ATL connected to LHR have benefited from this simplified experience. The Delta will expand this innovation to other international routes in the future, making global travel faster, easier and more seamless than ever before.

The Mobile Passport Control (MPC) app saves you time entering the United States, allowing you to submit your passport information in advance to speed up processing upon arrival. It can be used at 23 airports Delta and is free of charge. You can download the app here.

Fly out of ATL, BOS, DTW or SEA? Customers who plan ahead will succeed. If you've already checked in on the app, just print the package label and drop the package, you can now skip the wait with a quick “App Bag Drop” experience and design a time to give back.

By the end of the year, reaching all Delta hubs, this revitalization simplifies the journey for app users – allowing shorter lines and more time to relax before taking off again. Interested in this benefit, but not applied? It's easy to download – just follow the steps on Delta.com.

TSA Precheck touchless ID extends to all hubs

One of the easiest time-saving travel hacks – TSA Precheck Touchless ID (formerly known as Delta Digital ID by customers) – is expanding. This industry-leading technology uses face matching to allow qualified Skymiles members to opt in, who can browse dedicated bag drops and security lines without showing traditional photo IDs.

To meet the criteria, Delta customers must:

  • Become a member of TSAPrecheck®
  • Become a Skymiles member
  • Have a passport information and known traveler numbers stored in their Delta profile

The touch-free ID speed acceleration bag is reduced by 75%, reducing transactions on average to just 30 seconds. In Security, checkpoints that recruit customers are 60% faster than standard TSA Precheck, and automated ID verification shear processing time is only 7-10 seconds.

Originally launched in 2021 by Delta in partnership with TSA, it now offers a secure experience on ATL, DTW, LAX, LGA, JFK, SLC, SLC, DCA and SEA, and a security-only experience on LAS, LAS, LAS and PDX. By the end of 2025, Delta will bring this product to all hubs and selected radio stations, making travel more efficient. Customers can register their Skymiles profile on Delta.com.
