Ghislaine Maxwell moves to federal prison camp in Texas

  • by admin

Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who served 20 years in Florida, has been transferred to a lower-security federal prison camp in Texas.

“We can confirm that Ghislaine Maxwell is detained at the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) of Brian, Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Brian, Texas,” BOP spokesman Donald Murphy said in a statement to Connecticut.

Maxwell was sentenced in 2022 for a year-long program with Epstein and sexually abused the underage girl for convictions by the Supreme Court, including the Supreme Court.

The move comes a week after Maxwell privately met Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Tallahassee. Details of the meeting have not been made public, although her lawyers said Maxwell “has honestly answered every question Mr. Blanche asked.”

Murphy refused to give any explanation for Maxwell's actions. The Justice Department did not answer CNN's questions.

For those who believe that power has covered each other’s crimes, her prosecution has long been a focus with Epstein, a concept soaring again last month after the Justice Department refused to provide more evidence to the public in the Epstein investigation or prosecution.

Maxwell has publicly snatched this note to try to work with the government on multiple fronts. Her meeting with Blanche lasted for two days. She also proposed whether key conditions are met before Congress, including immunity and receiving questions in advance.

Like Bryan, the minimum prison camp is the least restricted facility in federal prisons and is considered low-risk, non-violent and impossible housing inmates. The camps contain little or no fences for prisoners, inside, they are able to move relatively freely.

Other prisoners in the women's camp include Jen Shah on the TV show “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” and Elizabeth Holmes of the former blood testing company Theranos.

Sam Mangel, a prison counselor who does not represent Maxwell, suggests she may be at risk of threats, injuries or injuries in Tallahassee, especially if she continues to work with the Justice Department, as there are gang members and violent criminals inside the Tallahassee prison.

“That’s the best for her given her situation,” Manger told CNN.

CNN's Katelyn Polantz contributed to the report.
