With the trade deadline coming to an end around Major League Baseball, Eric Longenhagen updated the Fanggraphs Edition for the mid-season top 100 prospects. On the updated version, there are five Cincinnati Reds’ prospects.

The list of leaders in Cincinnati is Chase Burns. According to this list, right-handed starter is the highest pitching prospect in the game and is also the sixth place in baseball. This is no surprise to anyone who has been following this year. Burns entered the top pitchers in the minor leagues and absolutely dominated the minor leagues, with five overall good in his six games in the majors. The sixth initially led to the 6.26 era when he apparently tilted the field at Boston, with the Redskins taking 12 walks and 45 strikeouts in 27.1 innings.

You don't have to follow the list to find the next Cincinnati prospect. Receiver Alfredo Duno also registered him in the game's top 20 prospects, where he was named baseball's second best close player. The 19-year-old has performed well in Single-a Daytona. Having played in a career-high 81 games this season, he reached .262/.407/.437 in the pitch-friendly league with 66 walks and 76 strikeouts. Duno also showed a lot of pop music in the Bat, hitting eight home runs, two doubles this year and adding 22 doubles.

Despite missing a full season so far and now suffering another elbow injury, Rhett Lowder also found himself in the top 50 of this roster.

Chase the smaller ones not far away. He has recently encountered some struggles in the minor leagues over the past few weeks, and his era has almost doubled in three seasons in Triple-A Louisville, but Petty is still only 22 years old and has a lot of time and, for the most part, a big minor league score is strong. His time in the major leagues shows that he still has some work to do in order to take successful steps at the highest level of the game.

Near the bottom of the list is another pitcher for the Reds, which is a controversial one – Luis Mey. While it's not to say no doubt that he has some of the best relief in the minor leagues, he also has a long history of hard work on the strikes that have led to a lot of walking, which almost always keeps the guys from being any reliable major league pitcher for any long period of time.
