Omaha, Nevada (WOWT) – As we experience triple-digit temperatures, Omaha Home Heating and Cooling Company expects to increase calls in the next few days.
Omaha Heating and Air Conditioning tells the first alarm 6 one of the ways you can make sure your home stays cool, making sure your A/C filter is clean to ensure there is enough airflow.
The company also recommends closing the blinds to limit sunlight in your home and avoiding equipment that can generate more heat, such as clothes dryers and ovens.
“You can also leave those ceiling fans and fans on the thermostat because the more air we move, the more humidity we remove,” Brian Wilhite with Omaha heating and air conditioning. “This will help keep these temperatures low in your home.”
Wilcht also said if your air conditioner stops working to turn off the thermostat and contact your local service provider immediately.
