  • by admin

Earlier Friday afternoon, the storm began sailing through New England from the northwest, and could potentially bring sporadic showers and thunderstorms to the Boston area during the evening commute. Some storms may be severe, with hail, heavy rain and lightning predicted. Some local flooding may also occur, so be careful when driving. Rising dew points and humidity are helping create this unstable atmosphere.

2pm to 7pm – When peak heating occurs throughout the region, the storm gets bigger and reaches peak intensity, heading towards coastal New England to the Boston and Providence areas, which may be between 3 and 6pm, and Cape Town and the islands may see storms close to 7pm.

7pm to 9pm – The lingering shower may ruin a night in town, but when the lows drop to the 60s overnight, most of the time cleared at 9pm.

Some gusts can reach 50 or 60 miles per hour in downpours.
