The Chiefs signed guard Trey Smith last week to sign a new contract, which they reached a deal with another member of the team this weekend.
According to multiple reports, defensive end George Karlaftis has agreed to a four-year extension with the team. Karlaftis made $93 million under the terms of the deal and guaranteed $62 million of that money.

Karlaftis entered the final year of his rookie deal, and the Chiefs earned his fifth year choice, so he is now closely related to the team in the 2030 season.
Karlaftis, the 30th pick in 2022, founded 53 of his playoff games for the team in the regular season and playoffs in the 59 season. In the regular season, he had 115 tackles, 24.5 sacks, one forced turnover and two failures in the recovery rate. He has eight playoff sacks, including four in three games last season.
The Chiefs will report to the training camp on Monday that once everyone arrives at Missouri Western State University, they will have two new deals to celebrate.
